My name is Anya.
This is Anya's story.
Our daughter was only nine years old when
she began feeling excruciating pain in her right leg.
What the pediatrician first thought were growing pains,
turned out to be Ewing sarcoma.
Anya endured a lot, including six rounds of chemotherapy to shrink her cancerous tumor, eventual lung surgery and a prosthetic replacement of her right femur and partial hip.
Anya endured a lot, including six rounds of chemotherapy to shrink her cancerous tumor, eventual lung surgery and a prosthetic replacement of her right femur and partial hip. Once stable, she had another eight rounds of chemo.
Anya was in remission for a year after treatment for cancer, however, it came back. Ewing sarcoma needs more research, especially for addressing recurrence.
For our beautiful, smart, funny, loving and beloved daughter.
Please join Anya's Army to support Ewing sarcoma research and the families affected by the disease.
Proud Dad and Mom,

SUCCESS
David Schwencke, CEO of Full Service Network, donated $100K to Anya’s Army at our 2023 Topgolf event. He presented the check to us in December 2023. We met with Dr. Kelly Bailey and her team on April 4th with Maura White, who is a Gift Officer for UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation, to celebrate Anya’s 19th birthday, which was March 31, and to present the $100K to them to establish the Anya Elyse La Mar Foundation Endowment.
All money goes to Dr. Bailey’s for Ewing sarcoma research. We gave Dr. Weiss and Dr. Bailey $13K EACH from proceeds from the bowling and Topgolf events held in 2023.

Sarcoma Research
[Commitment]
